Tarot by the Numbers – 1 to 4 | 12-15 Oct 2023 | Catherine Shainberg | Japanese+English

$500.00

What do the numbers in the Tarot mean?  In dreams and in the Tarot cards, numbers are not mathematical entities, they are organic elements. Each number is a powerhouse guiding us to a particular focus. Each card has a number – a condensed form of the image, a radical way of telling us what the image is talking about. The numbers depicted and associated with Tarot images give us a specialized tool for inner gazing that is expressed externally through the way our subconscious guides the cards we pick. In this workshop we will explore the the numbers 1 to 4 in Tarot decks, where the story begins.

12-15 Oct 2023 | 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST (US) / 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM JST (Japan) | in Japanese + English

Tarot by the Numbers | 1 to 4 | 12-15 Oct 2023

4 day-workshop | 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST (US) / 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM JST (Japan) | in Japanese + English

In this 4-day online workshop, Catherine Shainberg and Makiko Miki, certified SOI Practitioner and Teacher, will reveal the special power of  numbers 1-4 in the Tarot deck.

Tarot is a book of images whose pages are re-ordered with every throw. Tarot lets us see the truth of the matter as we see it, as it resides in each of us and as it is always revealed through inner gazing.  It is an especially important resource for those who may find accessing their inner world of imagery and dreaming a challenge. Each throw is like a dream: an answer to your question will appear in image and in number.

These throws do not come from a “reader” or any other outside source – they come from the inside, from you, giving you a fresh look at your present moment and the possibilities that your subconscious reveals with each throw.

Each card has a number. We can look at the image of the card or we can focus solely on the number. The number is a condensed form of the image, a radical way of telling us what the image is talking about. The numbers depicted and associated with Tarot images give us a specialized tool for inner gazing that is expressed externally through the way our subconscious guides the cards we pick.

What do the numbers in the Tarot mean? In dreams and in the Tarot cards, numbers are not mathematical entities, they are organic elements. Each number is a powerhouse guiding us to a particular focus. Take the number four. All fours are stabilizers, at the simplest level grounding us in a specific domain: 4 of Cups in the emotions, 4 of Swords in ideas, 4 of Wands in creativity, 4 of Pentacles in manifestation. The number of cards we put down in a Tarot configuration will also affect our readings as we explore which configuration will best match the questions we’re focusing on.

In this workshop we will explore all the cards related to the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4. Using Catherine’s groundbreaking method of DreamOpening® – reading the card images as dreams and the numbers as patterns in the DreamField – we will contrast the images with the numbers. By the end of the workshop, you should be thoroughly familiar with the organic meaning of the numbers we’ve addressed and how the images and the numbers relate to each other.

Required Materials : Participants must have access to one or both of these Tarot decks during this workshop: a Rider Waite deck and/or a Marseilles Camoin deck.
